Rogue Planet Mastering is a 100% solar powered, purpose-built mastering facility in New York’s Hudson Valley. The studio is home to Grammy-nominated and Platinum mastering engineer, Mike Kalajian.
Our studio specializes in mastering for digital distribution media as well as vinyl. We take pride in offering a level of quality and customer service typically reserved for major labels, and bringing it within reach of musicians and independent record labels.

We’re proud of the studio we’ve built. Designed from the ground up with acoustic accuracy and translation at the forefront. Monitoring by ATC and Rhythmik, controlled by a Trinnov unit. The absolute finest mastering gear on earth from the likes of Knif, Elysia, as well as fully custom gear for when an off-the-shelf solution didn’t exist. To top this all off, the solar panels on the roof generate approximately 4x more energy than the studio itself draws..
Every project plants a tree.
Because: why not. Trees are awesome. They are a key ingredient in most of my favorite places to spend time outside of this studio. In just the 10 years since Rogue Planet Mastering came into existence, the importance of protecting our precious home planet has become more apparent than ever.
To that end, I’ve pledged to fund the planting of a tree for every project I master from today forward. You get the most amazing master you’ve ever heard, the Earth gets a tree. Everyone wins!
